haven't used my ipad in awhile, and when I go to unlock, it says ipad disabled for an hour, and i haven't changed my password or forgotten it. I've tried to hook up to itunes and now my ipad isn't even recognized. I just want to open my ipad. Any ideas?

I would suggest waiting an hour for the disabled message to disappear. If you still cannot access your iPad then your best bet would be to restore it to factory settings.
