Thunderbolt / Thunderbolt 2 to DisplayPort adapters?

Hi!

I have an early 2015 MacBook Pro. I am looking to get a monitor for home working. I would prefer not to use the HDMI port to connect the monitor but am not sure how else to connect it.

Are there Thunderbolt / Thunderbolt 2 to DisplayPort / DVI adapters that would work?

Thanks all!

Mini Display Port uses the same connector type as Thunderbolt / Thunderbolt 2 and is a subset of the Thunderbolt signal, so no adapter is necessary. Just a Mini Display/Thunderbolt cable.

If you want to go from that to the larger Display Port, then yes you need an adapter, but I'm not sure any modern monitors use the larger older Display Port connector anymore. Some may have the mini-display port option however.

To go to DVI, there are adapters that can be bought.
