Slow motion in QuickTime Player (10.5) ?

When playing a movie in the QuickTime Player (not the old v.7, but the new v.10), how can you make the movie play in slow motion ?

I would have preferred a specific slow motion function, like QT7 or VLC. A continuous press is not very convenient when you want to slow down a long sequence, or note something ...

Continuous press K+L for forward slow motion with audio
Continuous press K+J for reverse slow motion with audio
