RAM compatibility - Mac mini 2018 and iMac 2019

Hi, would anyone know, whether the RAM taken from Mac mini 2018 (Micron MTA4ATF51264HZ-2G6E3 2x4GB) will work in iMac 5K 2019? I have seen a teardown of iMac 2019 and there was this kind of memory and now I have an opportunity to buy RAM with the same serial number but taken from Mac mini. In my opinion that should work, but first I would rather like to ask if anyone tried to swap them before.

Thanks in advance for any answers!

Yes, they both use the same 2666MHz DDR4 PC4-21300 RAM modules.

However, I strongly recommend that you buy new RAM directly from either OWC or Cruical for the 2019 iMac, instead of buying used RAM on-line that is from another Mac.

Plus if your going to add RAM to your 2019 iMac, you really should consider adding a 2x8GB or a 2x16GB kit instead of only adding 2x4GB.
