To attempt to find your lost AIrPods, the following must be true:

  • Find My iPhone must have been enabled BEFORE they were lost.
  • The AirPods are within range of your devices (iOS or macOS).
  • They are not in their charging case.
  • They are still charged.

Then they should appear on the Find My iPhone map on your phone or by signing into your iCloud account. Does it show up as a green dot? If so, you can make them play a sound to help locate them.

If you do not see a green dot, is there a gray dot instead? If so, that is where they were supposed to be last located.

If you don't see either colored dot, then one of the criteria would not be true ... or potentially, something else is preventing them from showing up.
