If you had turned on the photo box in iPhone as per the article https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT204264

Turn on iCloud Photos

• On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 10.3 or later, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos, then turn on iCloud Photos.

You can look in the Photos app/application or go to iCloud.com/Photos using a computer browser to view them. If you put the photos in iCloud Drive, look at the Files app or access iCloud Drive in the Finder Sidebar. You can also check iCloud.com/iCloud Drive.
