If you had Find my iPhone enabled on the iPhone and you also have Find my iPad on your iPad, you tap the Find my iPhone app on your iPad and IF the iPhone is powered on and connected to a network, it will show where it is located.
If you didn't have Find my iPhone enabled, you can't track it at all.
