Photo library size

Two synchronized photo libraries with ICLOUD in two different computers, same number of photos and videos (About 9.700 Photos and 1.200 videos). Why they have totally different disk space, 16,14Gb and 44,7Gb?

Also ICLOUD Photos https://www.icloud.com/#photos have also a different size, 35,8 GB beside it have the same number of elements 10.900 (9.700 photos plus 1.200 videos).

Why all these libraries have totally different sizes? it is normal? There are ways to resolve it? To make that all the libraries to have more or less the same size.

Both of the libraries have the Optimize Mac Storage Selected.

I enclose herewith the preferences setup of my Photos app. Although It is in Spanish, the setting is the same as in the english version. In the other Computer ( a Mac Book Pro) the preferences setup is the same.

Do any of the Photos libraries on your Macs have the "Optimize Mac Storage" selected?

If one library had it selected and the other not that would explain the different is library size on the Macs.

The Photos application on each computer will decide how much optimization is needed on that computer based on the history of the Photos library (such as where and when photos were added, and when optimization was enabled) and the amount of free storage at various times. There's no particular reason they should be the same size, especially if most of the photos were added first to one of the computers, or only one computer has constrained storage.
