computer authorizations not giving me a fifth one as five are allowed

I had five authorized products, bought a sixth, so I deleted on of the five allowed to access iTunes to make room for the new laptop, but my request is being denied as it states I can only have five allowed authorizations and for some reason it is not recognizing I deleted one and now have only four. How do I get the account to recognize my fifth authorization request?

See Authorization vs. association - Apple Community. You cannot "delete" an authorization, so perhaps you've deleted an association instead. You will likely need to deauthorize all and then authorize up to five computers as required.
