i have forgot my password on my iphone and it tells me to connect to itunes

i have forgotten my password to an old iphone i still have. It has disabled now from even trying to login. It redirects me to connecting to itunes but I'm not seeing where to go from there? Any ideas on how I can get in to my old phone?
