cant hear incoming out going calls iPhone 7

I had this recently, incoming call volume was getting lower and lower. I cleaned the ear receiver (it was almost completely blocked up!) and all is well again. My iPhone X is nearly 2 years old, and I´d never cleaned the receiver! It´s worth trying! Maybe read this article from Apple Support:

Hi Liz! Sorry that didn't help you. Yes, if Voice Memos isn't working that's a pretty sure sign that you have a microphone/hardware problem with your iPhone 7. But before taking it to an Apple Store or authorized service centre it might be worth reading this Apple Support article as a last resort:
