how to turn off two factor authentication when theres no edit button to turn off

Can I turn off two-factor authentication after I’ve turned it on?

If you already use two-factor authentication, you can no longer turn it off. Certain features in the latest versions of iOS and macOS require this extra level of security, which is designed to protect your information. If you recently updated your account, however, you can unenroll for a period of two weeks. Just open your enrollment confirmation email and click the link to return to your previous security settings. Keep in mind, this makes your account less secure and means that you can't use features that require a higher level of security.

If you want to, you can send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner.

Just updated my iphone and MBP. MBP is now running Catalina. After update was installed two factor authentication turned on and cannot be removed and is driving me nuts! I have a read a multitude of articles on Apple Support and basically Apple has made an annoying decision for you by requiring this level of security and having to enter 6 digit codes to do virtually anything on your phone or MBP. I have better things to do with my time!

I've got an iPhone 4 and older iPod touch I use both as music devices, two factor verification won't allow me to access iCloud, iTunes, iMessages etc.

I'm tired of Apple telling me what I do or don't need on my own devices and not allowing me to either opt in or opt out. Remember when computers and laptops and card readers and cd/dvd disc drives?
