Hello there.
I've been trying to add a Google Account to my Mail.app, but every time I do a popup appears asking to open Safari. I try to do that, but nothing happens.
I tried to restart my Mac but nothing changed. Tried also to quit Safari and reopen using the button, in this case Safari opened but no login window has shown up.
I'm running macOS 10.14.6 on a MacBook Air 2017. No update is pending.

Do you have Chrome installed on the Mac? I’ve come across a sign in that required a pop up and I never could get it to work with Safari. I installed Chrome and bingo works just fine.
This problem was fixed with Safari 13.0.1 update
I would check if that is being blocked by Safari.

Tried allowing popups on all pages and also deactivated all extensions as the content blockers may have been preventing the pages from working correctly. Restarted Safari but the problem persisted :(
I changed my default web browser to Chrome, but the popup still asks to open Safari.
