Apple TV

The remote for my Apple TV works fine once the Apple TV is one, but it won't turn on the Apple TV device when it is off. This means that I have to unplug the Apple TV device every time I want to use it.

Put your Apple TV to sleep - Apple Support

It is one of the changes in tvOS 13.

Did you make sure the remote was charged? Mine only turns on with the menu button. It no longer turns on with the other buttons.

Just realized today that the home button works too. I never actually tried it.
