Missing Icons to Switch from List to Folder View in Upload/Attach Window

Since upgrading to Mojave, anytime I go to attach or upload a file, the finder window has no separate icons to switch from List to Folder view. Now it's a two-click process to go back and forth. There is now only one icon on on the window, displaying either lines or squares depending on which view you are on. Have to click that to get a menu to then choose the view. There are no longer separate icons for the different views. I notice this only happens when either attaching a file to an email, or a post such as this, or uploading a file to a server. Any other Finder window shows the separate icons and works the same as it always has. Is there any way to fix this so the separate icons are always there?

There is nothing wrong to fix. That is how Apple decided to save space on the open file dialogs.

You can use the shortcuts for the different views to switch between them (cmd-1, cmd-2, cmd-3) if clicking twice is so difficult.
