My iTunes account is disabled, what does this mean?

Why is my iTunes account disabled and what do i have to do to fix this because I cannot update any apps or download old apps on my new phone

Thanks for posting your question on the Apple Support Communities. If your Apple ID is disabled in the App Store and iTunes, you should contact iTunes Billing Support using the Billing Section of the Contact Apple Support website.


The correct options to click would be in this order:


  1. Billing & Subscriptions
  2. Apple ID & iCloud
  3. "Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes" alert
