If you have Office 2011 it cannot run on Catalina. You need to upgrade to Office 365 or Office 2019:

Alternatives are the free Libre Office:

https://www.libreoffice.org

Or Mac's own iWork, Pages, Numbers and Keynote.

update your software to be compatible with Catalina


If you have Office 2011 for Mac or before WILL NOT run.

Office 2016 for Mac needs to be v15.35 or later.


The current Office for Mac; Office 365 or Office 2019 are OK with Catalina
