iPhone 8 plus doesn’t give me an opposition to reset the password

I forgot my son’s restriction password for his phone. It doesn’t give me an opposition to reset the password. Need help fixing this.

You can't reset it. If you could, it wouldn't be secure at all. You will have to erase his iPhone and start over. You can't restore from backup as the backup will put you right back where you are.
