I am upgrading fron iphone 5s to iphone 8 . the 5s has ios 12..4.3

Will it be easy to transfer my data from my iphone 5s to an iphone 8 using ios 12.4.3

iPhones typically get software upgrades for something like 5 years from their original release date.

The iPhone 8 was released in September of 2017. So that should mean it will get software updates till 2022 or so.

I use iTunes for backups, and I move from an iPhone 5s to an iPhone 8 with no issues.

Thanks Lyssa an only changing because my 5s cannot accept ios13 - do you think the iphone 8 will soon have the same problem with newer ios updates?
