When I go to view my friend's activity on my Apple Watch, it says "To Start Sharing your Activity, use the Activity app on your iphone."

Recently, when I go to view my friend's activity on my apple watch, it says "To Start Sharing your Activity, use the Activity app on your iphone."

I go to my iphone and everything is the same. I have alot of friends and I can see their activity.

Why is this showing up on my apple watch? I've done a hard reset on both the watch and the phone.
