I just bought new Apple Watch series 3 and won't pair with my iPhone 6. its straight out the box. my phone keeps bring up the message that my iOS is not up to date, which it is currently running iOS 12.4.3
I tried reseting both the watch and phone multiple time and still can't proceed any further

Yes I need a newer phone. iPhone 6 can’t run on iOS 13. While the Apple Watch is running on ios6 that need iOS 13
