Mac switches to dark mode.

My mac is switching to dark mode at random times of the day. Is there a keyboard shortcut I'm accidentally pressing or is this an error?

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.14

There is no keyboard shortcut for Dark Mode. I would suggest looking at this article: How to use Dark Mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Thanks, I'm not sure what to take from this though, I don't have auto as an option as I haven't yet upgraded my mac to Catalina. It just changes seemingly at random throughout the day.

I would try upgrading to Catalina just because it is the latest update and this may have been a bug that Apple has fixed.
