weather app

Checked the weather today. Using same app for both iMac and iPod but they are 10 degrees apart on their temperature reading. HMM? ooooo-eeeee what's up with that? what's up with that?

I found out what happened. I was using a VPN on my iPod. I'm also using my iMac as a WiFi hotspot for the iPod. It was allowing data for certain things but for some things it wasn't such as the weather app. I don't quite understand why but that was the problem. I'd love to know exactly why, technologically. Thanks.

Are Location Services enabled for both devices? Are both the iMac and iPod(?) both using the same app and same weather service? Are they running the same version of the same AP?
