I have a MacPro Mid 2010....do I have to buy a a whole new computer in order to have Catalina?

I have an iMac Mid 2010, & is not compatible to upgrade to Catalina. Do I have to purchase a new computer just to have Catalina?

iMac 21.5", macOS 10.13

I totally understand your dismay. You would think the lesser 2012 Mac model's like the MacBook and Mac Mini would have been given the boot before the Mac Pro.
