I received an email that said I can get Apple TV+ free for a year. Whats the catch ???

The ‘catch’ is that the offer is valid after buying a new eligible Apple device. You have to sign up for the service to access it. Apple gets a sales boost, and you get a freebee. Both are happy.
Another part is that is starts a subscription. If you don’t think it is worth continuing after the free year, then you have to remember to cancel in time.
