Instagram re-sharing issue with Iphone 11 Pro Max

Hi There,

I am having an issue with Instagram on my Iphone 11 Pro Max with regard to re-sharing photos on my story that friends tag me in. Every time I re-share, the photo expands in WIDTH making everything WIDER. Definitely not flattering for anyone in the photos and I've tried to adjust the pics before posting and nothing works. Any idea why this is happening or how to fix it? Or will there be a software update soon that fixes this? It basically looks like the photo is being STRETCHED in width. HELP!
