You could use the USB-A to USB-C cable that was suggested, but a USB-A to USB-C adapter would work too to connect the cable that comes with the iPhone. I just bought one yesterday for $1.50 at a store called Daiso. I have a few of those already, but they were all more expensive. One was $15 with a 2m Lightning to USB-A cable, and the other was a pair

There are a variety of adapters/hubs that might work to convert USB-C to USB-A.

The one I bought is the gold one here, although it comes in maybe three or four colors:

If your Macbook doesn't have a standard USB port, then it has to have a USB C port.

You can purchase this cable from Apple either online or in-store or from your Best Buy Store too --> https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MX0K2AM/A/usb-c-to-lightning-cable-1-m?fnode=97&fs=f%3Dcable%26fh%3D458e%252B45c4
