10.14 security update doesn't work

On my other Macs, running Mojave, the security update fails to install.

It asks to download/restart/install this security-update, seemingly downloads many bites, restarts after my authorization, and... nothing? (All is working, and software-update tells me there's an update available.

well...

If you can connect your Mac to your router via cable rather than relying on WiFi. don't use the Mac while it is downloading.

If any other devices access the same internet connection then stop their access while it is downloading.

Or download the standalone update from. here, https://support.apple.com/kb/DL2027?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

once downloaded double-click to install, you can also use this download to install on your other Macs.
