iPhone 11 wont receive text messages from android

I bought new iPhone 11 and the phone does not receive text messages from Android devices. Took it Verizon and they shrugged their shoulders. Help

SMS messaging is a carrier feature.

Call Verizon customer service and escalate the call till you get someone with a clue.

The drones in the stores almost certainly couldn't buy one if you doubled their hourly pay rate...

Thanks Kilted Tim, I could not agree with your assessment more. Let's see a pic of your kilt. Turned out there was an issue with the porting from my old carrier, their mistake, but always my problem, bill will be due soon!

A lot of them try very hard. They have ridiculous quotas they're supposed to meet on top of being expected to do things like educate customers, troubleshoot problems, stock shelves. It's not entirely their fault. When Verizon eliminated my job category, it all got dumped on the "Solution Specialists".
