Trying to reinstall OS. Get message recovery server could not be contacted. Any advice

I have erased hard drive on my MacBook Air and trying to reinstall OS. I get a message saying that the recovery server could not be contacted. I am connected to internet by Ethernet connection, Any advice on how to resolve ?
