Changing the App Store Region. Question:

So currently, my Apple ID has a payment method that makes the region of the app store to Indonesia but right now I am living in the United States and want to change that. I know that I have to change my current payment method to do so but can I just add a payment method that comes from the U.S. and then switch the regions while also not removing my old payment method? Also if I do change it, to what extent are some apps/things removed from my phone? Will they just be gone from my home screen and I have to go to a certain page on my app store to re-download them? Does the same apply for some music I have purchased? Also just fyi, I don’t have any subscriptions so I already have that covered for the process of changing.

Everything that's on the phone should stay there. You won't be able to update any apps if the US version of the app is different than the current version. You will need to switch to a US payment method and billing address.

You need a zero account balance and you need to cancel all your subscriptions. If you have cancelled all subscriptions, but some haven’t expired, contact iTunes Support. You need a credit card issued by a bank in the country the store is in, and you need a billing address in that country. If you have an account balance, either buy something more expensive and pay the balance with a credit card or contact iTunes Support and ask them to zero balance your account.

Purchases - View, change, or cancel your subscriptions

Purchases - Subscriptions not billed through Apple

Region - Change your iTunes Store, iBooks Store, or App Store country or region

If necessary, contact iTunes Support. Either use the form or scroll to the bottom of the page in the 2nd link. Follow through the screens to get a chat or telephone option.
