Compatibility MacBook Air 11" (Early 2015) Upgrade to OS Catalina with Word Version 15.35
How can I find out if this would be compatible?

You need to check if Word is a 32 or 64 bit application. I don't know how to check 32/64 bits app on your specific macOS exactly but try Check About This Mac -> System Report, select Software/Applications and then Word to see if it tells you. If it's a 32 bit app then don't upgrade to Catalina until you know the upgrade path for Word.
