CD music in iTunes

I currently have several albums and songs that I've ripped into a digital format from CDs that I own so I can listen to them on my iPhone. I had read someplace that it would no longer be possible to access that type of playlist in Catalina and that only music purchased from the iTunes Store would be available. Is this true? If so, is there a work-around? Thanks.

It's not true, as of this moment. I have all of my CD's still available in Music.
