on osx 10.10.5 Yosemite i can't log in to mac app store

I can't signin to mac app store, after inputing the password i get a verification code on my phone, but the mac won't get to the verification window to insert the code?

Hi. I found the solution, after you receive the verification code, you need to insert your password and the verification code in the same text box for the password. Because of the legacy OS X there is no separate text box for the verification code. Thanks for all the help

That is a problem. Unfortunately the verification codes only came on later Mac OS X versions.

The good news is your Apple Support Communities account is also an Apple ID and password you can use to login the store to download updates. And your Mac Pro should be able to update at least to Mac OS X 10.11.6 through the App Store.
