'One or more libraries were created with a newer version of Final Cut Pro' error message

Hi folks,

I have to switch to editing a FCPX project on my mid-2010 iMac, because my mid-2012 MacBook Pro just got stolen.

However, I am getting the error message "The operation couldn't be completed. One or more of the libraries were created with a newer version of FCP. These libraries will be ignored."

The iMac runs FCPX version 10.4.6., and the OS is High Sierra 10.13.6.

If anyone can throw any light on this, I'd be very grateful.

iMac 27", macOS 10.13

It sounds as if the 2012 MBP was using a newer version, maybe 10.4.7 or 10.4.8. Neither will run on your OS so you can't update. I don't know if your current machine can be updated to macOS 10.14.6.
