can't send or receive email from my iPad

Started to delete and reinstall but after restarting iPad for 3rd time it asked me for my password which for the last two days it hadn't done. Now receiving mail. Have no idea why it didn't ask me that two days ago. ELECTRONICS!
Make sure there is a password for your account, double check mail settings.
Restart your device.
Delete and reinstall the mail account.
Contact your mail provider or look at their support site.
