When you take a screenshot, you can immediately tap it to make edits and crops, and then press “done” to save the screenshot with the edits. But I’ve noticed that crops made in that edit screen do not save any more. They used to in earlier versions of iOS.

Once you press “Done”, you are presented options about what to do with the result. You may save it to Photos, save it to Files, or discard it.
