I cannot get this Series 4 44mm Cell+GPS to pair with my iPhone 7 Plus

I have to say - what a complete PAIN IN THE *** my first experience with an Apple Watch has been. I CANNOT get this Series 4 44mm Cell+GPS to pair with my iPhone 7 Plus running 13.3. I've done reboot, network reset, blah blah blah - and frankly I'm highly considering smart watch alternatives to the Apple Watch. Perhaps it's time to consider alternatives to the iPhone, the MacBook, the iMac and a few other Apple products that I own.

Thanks. I bought that phone from Amazon and made the mistake of buying it “refurbished”. I’m certain it had a hardware failure. It has been gladly returned and I visited my local Apple store and walked out 2k poorer with a 11Pro Max 256 and a 5 Series 44mm GPS+Cell. I had an old 7Plus for some 4 years so I got plenty of mileage out of that phone and a 150.00 trade in value. I’m 58 and no longer run out and buy each new model that comes out - so I splurged on this one knowing I’ll have it for a LONG time.

Suggest taking it to an Apple Store and asking for assistance. When I got my first Apple Watch, I did the pickup at the local Apple Store and they provided an experienced person to walk my another person, my Wife and I through the pairing process. For me I even screwed up entering my passcode and the Apple employee resolved it quick and easy.
