Microsoft Office: Mac 2011 not working, needs app upgrades

Office 2011 is a 32 bit app that does not work with Catalina and Microsoft no longer supports Office 2011. Office 2016 (updated), Office 2019, and Office 365 all work with Catalina.

I too don't understand your comment about being violated. Apple has been advising all of us for years that our old 32 bit apps would eventually become incompatible with a future OS. Now, it has happened as they told us it would. It is unfair (and not the least bit useful) to blame Apple or Microsoft for upgrading their products. To do so requires expertise and people who are paid for their time. Just as your automobiles have evolved and gotten better and more complex, so have Apple and Microsoft products. Have you ever moved up to a better car? If so, why? Was the replacement car free? Why not?

It would be better to spend time addressing the issue you now face and either upgrade your apps or move on to the free alternatives which are suggested above. Incidentally, they are very fine apps as well.
