Thing is. I plug in my phone every night. Wi fi on. Screen locked and it never backs up. It always fails to back up. It has been weeks. I barely use the wifi at home because it is unreliable except when I use my mac book. And even then it can have issues. I was looking for alternatives.
You can take a look at this support document for troubleshooting iCloud backups, but if your wi-fi is not stable, your only alternative is iTunes and the computer. Have you checked with your ISP to troubleshoot your wi-fi? If the ISP is good, are you using your own wif- router? If so, have you done any troubleshooting of the router?
