Find out why my Mac is freezing a lot lately?

Hi folks. My 2019 Mac Mini i5 has been freezing frequently lately. I'm wondering if there is an easy to read log somewhere in Catalina that can point me to what might be the issue? I am a Windows user as well and I'm looking for something like the equivalent of the System log in the Event Viewer. Help appreciated.

Mac mini, macOS 10.15

It's called Console and is in the Utilities folder. See How to Use the Mac Console App to Diagnose a Crash.
