Deleting my created templates in Pages 8.2.1

How do I delete the personal templates I created in Pages 8.2.1 (6520) on my iMac using Catalina OS 10.15.2. I have tried several methods all to no avail.

Open the template chooser. Select My Templates. Choose the template that you want to remove, and control-click on it. Choose delete from the secondary menu that appears. Been this way since 2013.
