Old iPad, old email

A user of mine has come in with an iPad she has forgotten the pin for, it needs to be reset but says that it is linked to an appleid that is no longer on our system.

How do I remove this appleid?

To get around a forgotten Passcode (pin?) see this link:

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

She will still need the Apple ID and Password to reset the iPad. She can try to recover the Apple ID here:

Assuming that the iPad is not a centrally-managed corporate device - and is secured with the “default” Activation Lock - the Activation Lock will prevent reset of the device. The lock can only be disabled by either logging in to the device - or the associated AppleID account (using a web browser).

If the Passcode to the device is unknown - and the AppleID username/password is unknown - and the associated email account is also unknown or inaccessible - then you’re stuck with a nice example of Apple’s minimalist design ready for recycling.
