Updating to Catalina

After updating to Catalina, I am told that my Finder and other apps are out-of-date. app also needs to be updated. How do I do that?

Are the apps 32-bit apps? If so, Catalina will not install them. You can check to see if any of them have been updated to 64-bit. Your finder cannot be out of date since it is part of Catalina.
