My 2019 MacBook Pro does not recognize my new LaCie 2 TB USB-C Hard Drive. How do Make LaCie HD visible to my MacBook ?

How do I make my 2019 MacBook recognize my new LaCie 2 TB Rugged ® USB-C Hard Drive? It does not show up on the list of HDs in the Time Machine menu.

Contact LaCie tech support for help with their products.

Does the drive appear in Disk Utility? Try connecting with a different cable and/or use a different port on the computer. Is the drive formatted for use with Catalina?
