Hi, i dropped my iphone 8 plus a while back; the screen cracked but it still worked fine. However eventually the phone stopped working. I have photos on there i would like to retrieve but im not sure if they were backed up to icloud. Is there any way i can retrieve these photos?

If iCloud Photos was turned on, they are backed up to the cloud. If so, you can view and download them as described in this link:
