Can I stream from my iPhone to Apple TV without internet?
Both devices need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network, but the Wi-Fi does not have to be connected to the Internet.

You can't stream from the internet using cellular on the iPhone and be connected to the ATV via WiFi at the same time. If the phone is connected to cellular, it is not connected to WiFi and vice versa.
Thanks. Tried it that way too and it keeps starting then stopping.
My internet went out so trying to airplay to my Apple TV from iPhone. But when I have both cellular and WiFi on, can’t connect to internet. But when wifi off, can’t connect to Apple TV.
What are you streaming and where is the source?
Also you may be getting interference from something.
