Restart Screen Horizontal blinking lights

So I wanted to update my imac but when I did, It couldn’t so It started to restart. Then this happens. Any idea why and how this could happen?

Did you try to use safe mode?

If this does not work, you'll have to get the mac checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider.
