Apple News - want to zoom-in

I am using a MacBook Pro with an external monitor and the screen resolution is fine for all applications and tools. However, Apple News, even in full screen, is too small to read and when you view something like the Wall Street Journal, the text is way too small. Why can't I zoom in like you can in Chrome or other applications? Zoom in and Zoom out under the View section is grayed out. Would be much better if this was enabled.

Well, you can do that but you need to turn it on, first. Open Accessibility preferences and select Zoom from the side list. There you can enable it and select how you want to control it.

An alternative to the above would be to use a lower screen resolution.
