Viewing fonts in Pages Dropdown Menu

Hi. I remember back in the day, like 20 years ago, when we all used Word, you could see what the fonts looked like in the dropdown menu so it was easy to experiment with fonts without having much font knowledge. How can I see them, now, in Pages when I click "fonts"?

Thank you!!

Melissa

This is no user configurable setting in either Pages '09 v4.3 (not on Catalina), or with Pages v8.2.1 on Mojave and Catalina. The fonts just appear in their primary style on the font menu. There will be no sub-menus showing other font faces. Even my Postscript Type 1 fonts appear on the Pages v8.2.1 Font menu.

You can also view fonts in Font Book where you can visualize the different faces at a user configurable font size of Lorem Ipsum.
